Just wondering if the smaller part of the dash comes off of a 92 dash the same way as one with dual air bags. If so, do you have to take the whole dash out to get that smaller part out (the part that the speedo/temp control/stereo are all sitting in) Mine has a rip from a previos owner, it looks like they didnt remove the stereo correctly, and tore a chunk of the plastic cover on the dash behind the stereo door. There is one of these at a wrecking yard, thats already pulled out of the dash. Just wondered if I could swap the two. Thanks! -Dennis

Hey now, post 600! WOOT!

Bump for anyone? I dont want to have someone pull the part off of a 95 for me, if it isnt going to fit in my 92. I saw a thread that said the 92 dash is one entire piece... and not two separate pieces... is that true? Or does it come apart?

It comes apart just the same. Be careful when separating the two.:)

Any chance there is a how to somewhere on how to remove it? Do I have to take the whole dash out to get that section out?

Easy peasy. Remove the gauge cluster (Theres a how to alreaady) to reveal most of the screws needed to take t out. Take out the dash vents and clmate control, as tray, cd cage, nike swooshy lookin decorative covers near the bottom edge of the center dash and center console to reveal the rest of the screws. Theres 6 along the bottom that are under the swooshy platic covers, one where the ash tray sits, and I THINK a few being the other bits mentioned, though those will need to come out anyway

Be extra carefull to make sure things are lined up when you put it back together. It seems the fitment of the center dash to the main thingy is different per vehicle (Youll see what I mean when you look at the brackets) to make sure you have the ash tray, center console, and cd cage in for alignment purposes when installing the new center piece
