Hi there , It's just comments on my new transmission that was installed monday the 02-11-2008 . It was with the 3.90 gearing . The shifts are very fast and it seams it gets better day by day ... Don't know why . There is 0 slipping betwen shifs ( betwen what , there's almos 0 time betwen shifts )
The acceleration is great . I will not try gessing numbers , i'll go directly to a track as soon as it opens ( May ?? ) . there's a lot of snow for now up here.
OH yeah , it is so much easier to drift in the snow now !! I've done a bit in a parking and it feels like I have a lot more power to the wheels .
So , if somebody is thinking about changing their tranny , i've had many manual cars and there's no way a human can shift like that . If you want the fun of shifting yourself , that's ok , but i'll be in front of you the first time you'll shift ! :p it's the best 6000 $ i've put in it for now ! ( including shipping , tax , installation , ect )
Ho and LAN , I'm waiting for my new exhaust from Stebro and after that , I'll wait for your TCU and buy everything you have starting with the new ECU with Z32 MAF . This summer will be mine ( in Québec for now ... lol )

I don't want anymore a 6 speed cause i don't want to past more time shifting than in gear when in full acceleration .... on full boost ;)

13.4 pounds
Yeah, if you just look at the Trans and installation, that's a decent deal.

A transmission for $2800 and at that performance level is a great deal. I cant wait to blow some of mine up..ill have to pull the fwd fuse and start power braking more frequently.

Nice, but in my humble opinion it is difficult to find truly lightweight wheels that look attractive. So I settled for a hefty 17lb (7.7kg) wheel. :o

Except them fender scoops ;)
Anyhow, MAN, tax and import fees really screw you canadians over! other than your government giving it to ya, you got a good deal. It's been speculated that the 3.90 is the closest to perfect gear ratio for highway acceleration and top speed

Don't blow it or you'll have a 700 $ core charge !! ;)
And the hood scoops , yeah ... they sucks but i have tokeep them on since they cuted throught the fenders and added a pipe of some sort there ...
I want carbon fenders ! It's not that expensive but , we're looking at changing a bit the shape , like overfenders ? larger a bit by 2 inch max . On the drawings it's pretty cool ! I'll posts some picures when i'll have them !
Can or US right now is the same ! Yeah ! 2 years ago when Ì was looking for prices on SVX wharehouse , there was a 35 % more to add ... So now , i can buy more things !

Seriously ?? Damn I knew the USD took a slide against GBP but I didn't realise it was so low against CDN too..........
I wasn't trying to be *that* obtuse............. :o
Phil.
Edited to add it's 2003 since I was in either US or Canada so I'm a wee bit outta touch !!
