Central California party time?

:) I see a few people are still arround, not quite Northwest numbers, and given the distance what about some sort of a meet in the middle of the state? Not trying to exclude anyone who wants to come, but i perhaps bay area/sac area?

I guess you didn't see my last post in the long-running Cal. item. I said:

Anyway, guys (and gals) I'm for a meet anywhere between the Mexican border and San Francisco. I might not bring the SVX, but I travel I-5 and the 101 several times a year to visit my best friend who teaches at SF State U.

Let's see if we can put something together this spring, wherever most people want it.

Sorry, I did miss that!

I understand trying to get a state meet together, I also know that there are several members in the north bay area and Sacramento within an hour or two of each other VS a full days drive, a much more practical distance for a lunch or something, more would be better :)

Hi again,

For me, it's seven hours to SF, five to Monterey, so just a lunch is out. But, like I said in the other thread, I'm game for wherever, so long as it is in the southern part of this time zone.

By the way, I saw that green one today as I was bringing my pearlie home from the transmission shop. My wallet is $2500 lighter, but there's a warranty and it drives beautifully. I parked behind the green one and ran across the street and shot a photo. It's got a tan interior, a lot of loose parts floating around inside, and the clear has failed on the paint on top. It looks as if it has not been driven in some time.

Anyway, that's for another thread.

I was thinking of multiple meets :D sorry to confuse.

Looks like a mid coast meet is a possibility, and possibly a west coast meet, see the PNW forum.

Since you brought up the PNW forum...

West Coast meet would probably be a ways off, as I would want it to be BIG and well done, meaning planned a year out. Location also would probably be somewhere along the Oregon Coast, so as not to get TOO far away from the loyal Northwesters (Largest concentration of SVX owners proven to be willing to come out for meets is in the Seattle area). At the same time, moving it halfway down OR would make it a tad more realistic for at least Central CA to attend also. Again, if we did this it would be intensely planned and well executed, so it would be worth the time and money for SVX enthusiasts (and their famililes). Anything less and I wouldn't do it. :)

Right now I've still got to wrap up the loose ends with NWSVX and give it the send-off it deserves. First things first. :o

Then I gotta get to buying that place on the central oregon coast to store my cars at every 2 years when smog comes up :lol: that time frame means I might have a driving SVX, need comes before want, and I gotta get other stuff done first :( But look foreward to pictures of the SVX, E30, and E24 coming out of the barn soon :)
