Hey guys I'm curious if there is a demand for aftermarket endlinks for the SVX? Personally I haven't seen any myself, but I don't know the SVX market as well as of any of you. I ask this because I sell aftermarket Subaru parts and one company I deal with makes all their stuff in house lightweight crank, alt and power steering pulleys (all stock size), aluminum pitch stop, endlinks, throttlebody spacers and more to come. The name of the company is Group A. Some of you may have heard of them some may not. They make pretty nice parts at great prices.

Now I got them to consider making rear endlinks for 90-91 Legacy turbo. If there's enough buzz I might be able to get them to do endlinks for the SVX. They are by far not a bling piece but still look good at the same time. I will post pics of the endlinks they make for other Subarus.

If you have any interest or questions please let me know.

As someone who would like to get an SVX myself sometime soon I am willing to help the community get parts made if there's a large enough demand.

Great idea...FYI, the SVX's endlinks are totally different from those used on most other Subies (definitely not like the ones you've got pics of).

Ah, you know he meant lightweight crank pulleys, which we're pretty well prepared with, as all the Impreza ones fit our mills as well.

Understood!;) I wasn't aware of your "rep", so my apologies.:)
I've fabricated my own endlinks with heim ends for my front and rear bars, so I've got an idea of how much nice endlinks cost:eek: I do like the idea of lightweight pulleys for the alternator, PS pump, and crank.

So I got word that they will consider going through with this. But first they like to see the stock endlinks. Does anyone have pics of the front and rear endlinks? Also what might be better if anyone has 1 front and 1 rear they can donate to the cause and I can send them to Group A.

I will post up pics of the crank pulley and alt pulley so you guys can see what they look like. I also would like to know if the pitch stop mount is the same as other Subarus? and the sub frame bolts?

I also deal with GrimmSpeed and can get parts from them. I will be adding some universal parts like oil coolers and oil catch cans etc.

Cool!

Ya, those kind of endlinks won't work in the SVX. Ours are the rod-with-bolt-on-the-end style (whatever the technical term for that is), like this:

http://www.subaru-svx.net/photopost/data/500/medium/IMG_2791.jpg

Just not that one, that's an Outback on I'm trying to adapt. Out front ones are longer, and the rears only have the bolt on one end, and a bracket on the other.

The pulleys look pretty nice though! How would one go about ordering both?

So what exactly would aftermarket/upgraded Endlinks do to an SVX handling/ride wise?

Reason

I seen a link on here (I wish I could find it again) that a member posted and his endlinks had bent (I assume he does autocross). These endlinks can take more abuse and won't bend like that. They also will give the same benefits just like any other car and lessen the cars body roll.

Such endlinks have a dramatic effect on a car's handling. I was about to install similar ones in the SVX, but seeing the weight of the car's nose, I was afraid to do so. I thought that maybe under a hard steer I would snap something... somewhere

If the SVX has the one bolt style like most of the other subarus then yes. I figure sometime in December they should be released.

SVXRide I know about the dual TB's I just forgot to delete the TB spacer pic. That whole list is from my Legacy board and I just copied and paste.

What I don't know is about the pitch stops in the SVX, are they the same as the other Subarus? Also like to know about the subframe bolts.

Pitch stop is the same. Good question on the subframe bolts. You might want to PM SVXFiles or TOMSSVX, they've both worked with the subframes numerous times.

So far the following parts fit the SVX

Crank pulley (all the pullies are lighten)
alt pulley
PS pulley (should be released in Dec. of 07)
pitch stop

waiting to find out

lug nuts
sub frame locking bolts

And trying to see if enough people would be interested in having endlinks made.

Well I got the email back, they said after careful consideration there's not much of a market for them. But we got the crank pulley, alt pulley and pitch stop that will still work. Hopefully the power steering pulley will be released this month.

Heres a few ideas for parts that we could use....

A master cylinder brace similar to perrin (anyone know if the ones made for impreza are compatible??)

endlinks

front strut tower to firewall brace (same principal as strut tower brace but instead of linking the strut mounts it simply bolts each strut tower to the firewall)

BUMP to see if Group A is still around...

A Master Brake Cylinder brace might be a good idea, but I honestly don't think that any ov us drive our cars hard enough to justify one...

+1 For ENDLINKS and Suspension parts!!!!

I am must be confused about that third one that you suggested... Subarus need NO upper strut support (well, MAYBE if you are a hardcore racer) as the Strut towers are essentially built into the Firewall...

I'll have to tell ya as soon as I level the suspension out... When I had my top hats put in (at the same time). My mechanic Ryan raised the front up by about an inch... So now the front end is sitting way up in the air and the rear is still "slammed" to the ground... Hopefully fixing that this weekend as the first Autocross is the 27th :)... I'll be able to tell if it made a difference after the Autocross :)
