I don't know if anybody knew this but i just found out that the Alcyone S4 and SVX LSi are in the very first and second grand turismo for playstation. Im definatly gonna have to go buys these:D

My friend has the Alcyone maxed out in Sega GT and whenever I go over to visit he'll turn on his Xbox and put on a performance of the Alcyone smoking lesser cars :p

This thread has me wanting to dig out my copy of GT2! Sucks that the newer GT games don't have the SVX, heck the Subaru section consists of a 360, a couple of Legacies (GT and B4 Blitzen IIRC) and Imprezas, although GT4 has a Prius lol, and one of the "special condition" races you have to complete a certain number of laps in a given amount of time, and use less than a certain amount of fuel... I guess when the 2nd gen Prius came out, they handed out a stripped-down version of the game that consisted of that race and a few others, and it only had the Prius in it, and maybe a couple of other Toyotas, I can't remember... I'm gonna hafta see if we have any copies of it left at my work...

I dragged out my copy of Sega GT 2002 but the only car I could afford was a Celica 1600GT :( so I gotta win some races so I can buy the SVX :-P

I mean obviously it's 92-93 LS(would hvae been LSi if the had it those years) I've been combing the Managa and so far up through 28(just came out last week in the states) I haven't noticed one. And the Anime only goes to Stage 2 with that Chinese Live action movie. Which movie are you talking about is it animated of the one with Ray Fong?(awsome dude) Anyone know the est keyword to search by to watch it on youtube or simular? I want to see further into Stages 3 and 4.

Stage 3 is the animated movie. The first images are from that.

I agree that he's stalking Takumi. But keep in mind that this SVX is Japanese-spec; it's not LS or LSi. Their specifications were different from ours. Someone with a little more Japanese-spec knowledge would have to chime in and say what model it is. Since it doesn't have the BBS rims I'm guessing it's not an S40-II...

What's funny is that while I haven't seen an SVX in the Initial D manga, I did spot one in the manga for Over-Rev. :p Sadly I don't have the page handy, but it was definitely an SVX.

So far this are the games I've played with SVX's

1.- Gran Turismo 2 (there is even an only Alcyone SVX race)
2.- Sega GT Online (the car is poorly modeled, looks fat and even when you top modify it its not that fast)
3.- Midnigth Wangan Maximum Tune 2 and 3. (AWESOME... I want to buy an arcade machine just to play it, and the game itself its great)

EDIT: I never put up a video of myself racing, so unless someone else did then it wasn't me. If that was the video of the guy playing WMMT2 against a Porsche, then no, it was not me.

As for Tokyo Xtreme Racer... I'd say just get 2. Sadly the US never got its hands on Kaido Battle 2, so it's rather pointless to get a copy of the first game. Just go with the last.

Be warned, though. The SVX is difficult to turn into any sort of corner carver. It'll hold its own on a wider course as long as you set it up properly, but tight mountain passes are kinda difficult.

Yes it would. I was hoping for that as well. However, since they modeled cockpit views for each car in the game, I'm guessing they had to be pretty selective with what cars they wanted to do. Unless someone on staff with Polyphony Digital was a big SVX fan, the chances are pretty slim... :o

Also, while it is essentially the same game minus online features, Sega GT 2002 has the SVX. ;)

Yeah, that's me. I bought that Gemballa from some guy in canada, the SVX I just tuned up, and as of now I transfered it to MT3 where it sits at a sinister 820/DG and a dress up level of 65.

I have this WRC thing going on, with a color matched trunk and roof. It's sweet.

Someone jacked my camera which is the only reason I haven't made a WMMT3 vid. I was also planning on making a short clip of my strafing my SVX down a hill on an icy road.

We had a mini blizzard last night and I was sliding my car all over the place.

i remember a few years ago when my older brother got the svx that i have now, we pulled out GT2 and had never really paid attention to the fact that there was an svx in there

its too bad the graphics from those games aren't the greatest (compared to now)...it would make the whole "gaming experience" a whole lot better

i mean in GT2 you can basically bounce off the wall (side of the track) and not loose any speed really. and the graphics, while the arent horrible, just compare that to lets say Forza Motorsport 2. i wonder what the video game designers back then wouldve thought if they knew that today we'd be playing games that we think are amazingly realistic. im sure they knew it would happen someday. but what will it all be like ten years from now?
