does anyone kno of any ways to lighten the car without removing valuable stuff like spare tire and sound system, (i dont want to be stuck on the side of the road with no spare tire and no radio to listen to as i wait for help) lol:D

Carbon fiber or fiberglass hood. Saves about 30 lbs.
Lighter wheels could save about another 15 lbs./set.

Remove valve stem caps??? :lol:


Not much else without sacrificing comfort or safety that I can think of.

Replacing the power driver's seat with a manual seat - the friggin thing weighs more than me

remove entire interior except gauge cluster (and stereo :rolleyes: )
add a Kirkey aluminum seat
remove ac compressor, condensor and all lines
remove ps pump
remove heater core
remove sunroof, replace panel with plexi or aluminum
remove moveable windows
replace windshield with Lexan
remove bumper beams
replace your exhaust

and while your removing superflous comfort features:

remove them pesky struts too :rolleyes:

no, struts are needed :rolleyes:

a few I forgot...
remove ABS pump, lines and all four tone rings
remove airbag sensors, computer and airbag
swap 5 spd in place of auto
move battery to the trunk
remove the motorized antenna and rely on CD's or the etched antenna
