I think someone who was going to rally race wanted coated SS lines. Not dure if it was Dynomatt or the other guy who is converting his svx to a rally car. How much are they?

they also have some with a protective clear coverings
too :)

I mite have to get a set in blue some time. The ends on mine are cracked.

They look nice, but the boots are still made of plastic. Compare Subaru's brake line metal boots to the SS brake lines. I prefer something durable over looks. Just my preference.

dan mar, are you saying that the "boots" - the metal at the end of the lines - are plastic for the aftermarket ones? Just a little confused on terminology.

what are you talking about ?????
our couples and brackets are all metal....
the covering is just for asthetics..

But aren't the ends were the hose conects to the connetor plastic on the one you sell. The ones I got from you are that way and they have cracked.

You never told me you had any problems with ours
and as far as Ive seen ours have always been metal.
The ones in the pic above are metal, and as far as I
can remember back they have always been metal.

Email me a pic of the ones you are referring to that
cracked, they have a lifetime warranty.

are you talking about the little black sleeve
just before the threaded end ? thats always going to be
plastic, even if that part cracked that wouldnt present
any danger, thats mostly cosmetic.

AFBeefcake

Yes, the little black sleeve. It has cracked on both front lines.

thats pretty superficial, its just a plastic sleave
think its more cosmetic then anything else.
Ill check with the manufacturer tomorrow and get their
take on it.

Ok thanks. There not leaking and still work fine. If there not coverd I'll just buy a set of the new blue ones from you soon.

The blue looks cool to me, may like the yellow one too

Just wonder if it's red, if the line is leaking, perhaps less obvious to catch?

Oh some brake fluids are not red

I'm not saying yours are bad. I bought mine from irotors. But for me, having one of those boots crack and having the line pop off and leaving me stranded was not fun. Take a look at Subarus boots, they are made of metal and they are crimped on. They are not for cosmetic purposes and neither are the plastic ones. They help keep the ends from playing and bending at the connections.
