50/50 Weight Distribution

I read a lotta car magazines that talk about 'perfect' 50/50 weight distribution, and noticed in literature our SVXi are more like 56/44.

Would a perfect 50/50 weight balance be more desirable in our cars?

Maybe a fiberglass hood up front, battery relocation, etc...

thoughts, comments?

i imagine that it would be 56 front to 44 rear...
yeah..reducing some weight in the front should do the trick.
carbon fibre hood..take off the plastic covers...lightweight this and that...remove the a/c condensor and compressor...battery relocation...

as long as you have something to actually weigh the distribution..you should be able to see your progress

With those mods, front is 1921.3 and rear is 1615.2 or 54.3/45.7:)

2004.8/1575.2 + 215 + 175 (just guessin)=1965.2 + two 3# Taurus PT99s and 6 spare clips, a Russian 7.64X39,w/30, = 8#s = 407= 1982.2, or

Replace both seats with light weight race seats
Leave spare tire and jack in trunk
Larger rear sway bar and end links

Dont forget to take out the ABS and airbag stuff. ;)

Subafreak's SVX did give a "feeling" that it lost quite some weight in the engine bay when I look at his at the Reading 7.

It has no windshield reservoir, smaller coolant reservoir, no ABS? no AC? no headlights? no front grille? :D :D Any pics? I knew someone took the pictures.

He also has lighter hood and different seats...
