Insturment pannel lighting up like a x-mas tree

Ok, I was driving home from work and I had the Power-stearing, battery, stop lamp, break, and abs lights all come on at the same time, they flashed off, came back on, and then went off again... any ideas on what this might be?

You have a faulty alternator which is imposing an alternating voltage on line and is not charging your battery properly. You will have to have this attended to.
