I want a Camaro Z28, and won't be needing this slow gas hog anymore (flamesuit). It's a stock liquid silver in great shape.. just looking for some offers. I bought it for $3500 and would like to see something close to that. It has 91,000 miles.

Good:
Everything works, the car starts up and drives just fine every time.
All the little buttons and gizmos work.
Heater blows fire and A/C blows ice.
Newish stock exhaust just put on so it's nice and quiet and rattle free.
Interior is in near-mint condition, leather is nice and soft because I took care of it.
Aftermarket CD player, and it's a pretty cool one.
Aftermarket speakers all around and sounds great.
Silver JDM front hood badge

Bad:
Might need new brakes and rotors soon.
Front bumper is scuffed underneath, spoiler has a few spots of crap.
A tiny dent on the front driver's fender and driver's door.
Random "jerks" while driving, nobody on here knows what causes it.. Happens maybe once every 20 minutes.
Might need a new alternator, which could probably fix that.
Centercaps are kinda fugly

I've put time and money into this car to get it running as well as it does now, it's really a great car but I want something sportier, with a V8 :). This isn't a need to sell, just a want.. so if I can't get close to what I paid for her I'm just going to keep it. Check my locker for pictures.

You'll just be driving along on the freeway and out of nowhere it'll feel like you tapped the brakes real quick.. then it's gone for a while. Sometimes it won't happen all day long. Could be the torque converter randomly locking up, could be a misfire, could be something else.. It's really not that big of a deal to me though, the car drives great otherwise.

You would sell that beutifull rare italian beuty to buy some common camaro junkola?
I dunno if they are that common in ohio there, but seriously in this town, if it isnt a pickup truck or a mustang , its a camaro. Probly a good 2000 of them in this little 30,00 people town

Good luck with the sale Brian. I must say that you have one of the cleanest engine bays around!

Maybe that's what's causing the stuttering. :-)

And you're calling SVXs gas hogs . . .

Do you live near an airport? With an 11.8:1 compression ratio (and no smart engine management like we have), Premium isn't going to cut it. Aviation fuel every day.

With a 3.73 rear end, it's not much of a racer. But it's definitely not a daily driver either. It looks like it's just another Saturday evening cruiser.

Another cookie cutter car with a lot of expensive bolt-on parts from the local auto parts shop.

OEM SHOCKS?

It might be a fun car for about a month, after the first rain storm (not to mention winter), I'd be hating myself for dumping a perfectly good economical SVX!

imho,
Dan

PS: If you're getting financing to buy the car, ask the seller to 'bump up' the price some so you can get some extra funds and keep the SVX! ;)

Cookie cutter? was your svx hand made?
I just moved in with my girlfriend which is 3 minutes from work (and rent is a lot cheaper :)) so mpg doesn't mean anything now. It'll be used to drive to work twice a week and yeah, it'll be a saturday cruiser. Oh and it runs fine with 94 octane.

I'm not going to get into a 400whp sports car vs svx debate, that's apples and oranges.. and I'm tired of driving my slow apple.

Damn man, your SVX was the first SVX I ever saw in person. Don't get rid of it. That car is just too nice. Screw a Z28, don't become a redneck.

The Z looks like a nice one (if you like those sort of things).

I would think that getting in/out would be a pain in butt with that roll cage.

Your SVX is slower than what you want, and you are not happy owning it.

Sell it, and have fun with your Camaro. (:

That's what I thought but he told me they unlock and swivle out :)
No corners were cut on that car..

Has the car always been in the Northeast?

For the past 6000 miles and 9 months I've owned it, yes. I have no idea where it was before that, but there isn't any rust on the body or undercarraige at all.

3500 seems fair if the condition is good.

Are you still in Columbus? I saw mention of the north east. Columbus, OH is not the north east.

In college my fun car was a 95 Camaro with an LG Motorsport 383. It was insanely fast; in fact, it was scary. Car would burn out clear through 4th gear. It got about 8 MPG and toasted tires FAST. Way too fun once in a while. On the down side, if it even looked like there was a chance of rain you couldnt drive it.

Heh, read the whole thread, I'm not getting the camaro anymore.. getting a stockish mustang gt. And yeah I'm in columbus still which is the midwest.
