10 more new JDM SVX hood emblems for sale... [Archive]

I have just ordered 10 more brand new JDM SVX hood emblems. There are 5 silver and 5 gold emblems available. They are so shiney that its very difficult to get a good picture. The background in the emblem is actually a black metallic. They look even nicer in real life. As before, the price is $65 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states and Alaska. Shipping cost is more for other places. Takes two minutes to install. Last time I had a sale on these, I sold all of them in less than a week. PM me if you want one.

never had to take one off before but I would imagine there are bolts hidden behind the hood latch on the hood

No bolts, just friction caps...just pry it up with a piece of plastic (to avoid scratching the paint)

Those emblems really makes the SVX stands out. Plus, it bring individuality to the SVX compares to gt, sports or luxury cars. I have the silver one on my red SVX.

It's basically double sided tape with 3 prongs sticking into the hood.

If you want to reuse the old one then don't heat gun it off... I learned the hard way :eek:

I had to do it on another one and I basically used an old extra heavy guitar pick and pried it off.

The best place to pry would be the bottom center of the old emblem. That way if you damage the hood it will be hidden by the new emblem.

I believe the Alcyone badge represents Taurus the bull.

"SUBARU" is a Japanese word meaning "unite", as well as a term identifying a cluster of six stars, which the Greeks called the Pleiades - part of the Taurus constellation.

We have precisely the same views of colour match. Reds and greens would be my choice too for the gold badge.

I know the Prezza people drool after them, but I am not a fan of gold wheels, and I don't think they do too much for an Ebony.

Silver and black for me.

[Anyone remember the JPS Lotus livery, back in the 80's? Looks cool still]

It was amazing how close it was. Both of your PMs had a timestamp of 2:45 pm PST, but Danny's arrived first. I could arrange another purchase of silver emblems. I need to purchase a minimum of 10 to make it worth my while, and I like my inventory to sell quickly. Maybe I'll try to do it in group-buy format for the next sale.

Turns out that there are only 5 silver emblems left in Japan. (I've been told that Subaru will make more of these, but don't know when.) I've purchased them and should be receiving them within a few weeks. I'll have to sort through this thread to set up an order list.
