WTB: AWD beater

Yes, my friends and I are looking for a cheap AWD beater. Car can be anything as long as it's AWD and preferrably runs. I'd prefer it be an auto (yes I know manual is 10x better). Any info, cars, links are welcome. I got about $3000 to spend.

You should post on NASIOC....there is bound to be someone with an old impreza they want to get rid of. They make the best AWD beaters. :D

How'bout an XT6 full time 4 wheel drive. It'll be a ton more fun than any 3k Impreza. Next in line would be a Legacy GT from 95 but that would be stretching that 3k.

Check out www.xt6.net. I know Gary Gross is selling a couple 6s down in Maryland and you could have 2 runners for the 3k easy!

You can also get some full time 4wd GLs from the late 80s dirt cheap!
