New England SVX Meet!

Greetings to all!

There is a New England SVX Meet (NESVX) scheduled to coincide with the Northwest meet. The vital information:

Date: March 16 2002

Time: 12:30pm

Location: Blockbuster Video parking lot in Keene, NH (zip 03431)

Activities Planned: Standing around saying "Nice Car" a whole bunch, eating something and going on a 15-35 mile covered and dry-laid bridge tour.

All are obviously welcome at the meet. Keene is a scenic town with a sort of leave-it-to-Beaver kind of feel. There are some great little shops, so those who are inclined to spend money will be right at home.

Right now the guest list is comprised of two people including myself. Let's see if we can't give these Northwesterners a run for their money!

This is because 33% of the attendees could not make it by 12:30.

Def. Time will be announced in the near future. Basically I'll be there at like noon. I'll get a bagel and a cup of coffee and go sit in my car and listen to music until everyone who says they were going to show up does. I'll have a cellphone and anyone who is either lost or not coming can call me. Then we'll get some gas and go for a drive.

Well, my SVX isn't in the best of shape at the moment (at over 221K miles things are starting to show wear) but I think I can make it. I just got an email a few minutes ago telling me about it so it's a bit short notice. Thanks JScorse for the info!
How many cars are we looking at attending at the moment?

Well I'm sorry that so many people had to find out about the meet on such short notice.. it's a shame, but those who can't make it to this meet will hopefully make the next one (tentatively may or june)..

If you asked me this morning how many cars I thought would be there, I would've said "3 and a legacy.." now it's looking like there might actually be five.. we'll see. There seem to be some "lurkers" or people who don't actually post and say they're coming, but show up at the meet just the same. I think I'm a little optimistic in saying that I think there will be about five cars on Saturday, but we'll just see..

Alrighty, it's Friday and the NESVX meet is on!

It looks like rain over here in Southern New Hampshire, but we've got AWD (no L's that I know of) and nothing to worry about. At this point I think it's possible that as many as five cars could show up, but I think it'll likely be three. For all of you who have been following the threads and still don't know for sure if you should come... COME!!! There'll be another meet a couple of months down the line, but hey, if you show up at this one, you can brag about coming to NESVX since the beginning :)
