Colorado SVX Meet 2002

Calling all Colorado SVXers

Open call for anyone in the Colorado area interested in the first 2002 Meet. We are looking to do it sometime next month. If interested please post a time that would be good for you and Ryan and I will work out the details. This may also be a good time to figure out our plans for the July meet. Any thoughts on what we might do this time Chris? The track is closed...so that is out. I'm almost just thinking a dinner/photo-op. There is a killer wing place and a killer rib place that I know. Both suprisingly cheap. Might be an idea.

Sounds good to me. Lets plan on 2nd to 3rd week of Feb. There is a new guy Brian from Evergreen that has already said that he wanted to come and his tranny should be done in about a week. See if you can't get ahold of the guys from the last meet and see if they would be interested. I also have another guy in the Broomfield area that wants to have a meet so I will let him know as well. Lets meet for a beer this week and we can get everything put together date, time, etc.

Alright guys Ryan and I meet for lucnh to day and came up with a date and an idea of what we will do.

(let one of us know ASAP if this date and time wont work for you.)

(That is a Friday)

<b>Time</b>: 4pm untill ?
(We would like everybody to meet when there is still some light so we can do some photos.)

<b>Where</b>: Still trying to decided that. Thinking a good place for Ribs, Wings, or ?.

Last time we had a total of 5 this time lets double that.

Make sure to let us know about the date.

Looks good, only concern is that 4PM will probably be too early for people. I was thinking around 7, maybe even 8. I mean if people are coming from Castle Rock, or Evergreen, and they get off work at 5pm...

Ok, since we haven't got any new reply's here is what I propose.

Date: Lets stay with the 23rd of Feb, seems like a pretty open day for everyone.

Time: How does 5PM sound? Should be early enough to get pics, and yet not so early we won't want to eat yet

Where: Texas Road House, located on I-225 and around Mississippi (there is only 1 in CO if I'm not mistaken). This is a major rib place, extremely good for the price.

Who: Every dang SVX we can muster up. I still haven't gone over that one in my complex....I'll try to do that in the next couple days.

How does that sound to everyone?

sounds fine at this point. i am self employed so there is an up and down side. I can come and go as I please but no schedule this far in advance. I will move mountains to be there. Did you read my previous post about the svxer comming through this weekend?

For those that don't have them. Here are some quick directions on how to get to the Texas Roadhouse:

1: Take the I-25 towards DENVER (North Or South Depending where you live)
3: Take the I-225 N exit- exit number 200- towards I-70/LIMON.
4: Take the ILIFF AVE exit- exit number 5. (WEST!!!)
5: Drive 2 blocks and you will see some restaraunts on the right side. It is in that parking lot. Big place, seems to me its like all brown wood on the outside.

You guys have a great time! You wanna hear something that's almost worse than not having my car? My wife's away for the weekend. Guess where she is. DENVER! I could have opted to go with her, some time ago, before the meet was set, but I opted not to. It woulda been great to be at the first CO meet! Oh well -- since you changed it to Sunday, I wouldn't have gotten to be there anyway -- we would've flown out Sunday Morning.

Some sad news. I just found out that I have a frat. meeting at 5 which I am not going to go to untill 6 or 7 so I will have to leave the meet early I am planing to show up around 4pm if anyone else wants to show up early. Otherwise I will see you all on Sunday.
