I need an stock left-side wheel to replace the one recently bent on my '92. Anyone have a spare for sale? Don

Unless it's folded in half (or close to that) it can probably be straightened. Then again, maybe you can find one cheaper?

Beav: I had heard that straightening was expensive, so I assumed a used one...perhaps from a parts car...would be cheaper. Maybe I assume wrongly; I'll check around the area next week for someone who can remove the bend. Don

Rufus (Mike) brought back 4 rims from the New Jersey rummage sale. I don't remember if he was planning to mount tires on all 8 right now. Bang on his door!
Ron.

Don,
I recently had two of my stock rims straightened and all four stripped and powdercoated. The shop I used charged me $45 for one and $65 for the other. Both were bent on the inside lip, the more expensive one about 1/3 of the circumference:eek:
Do some digging and check with fabrication/welding shops which specialize in aluminum and have a lathe. The basic process is to slowly heat the rim and then force it back into shape with a form and a small hydraulic cylinder. The lathe is used to check for the bend location and final tolerance.
