Dyno Meet - For all VA, DC, MD, WV, PA, DE members

Myself and Bill (SVXRide) are planning on meeting up at www.alteredatmosphere.com in Gaithersburg, MD during a weekeday in the second week of December (6th - 10th) to do two awd dyno runs w/ AFR.

The cost is $105.00 per car and the more the merrier! :)

I'm going to call Altered Atmosphere this week and see if we can't get a "volume discount".

We may need to get quite a few members there to get a group discount, but it's definitely worth a phone call. Also, see what day during the mid-week is slowest for them. If Wednesdays are generally dead, they may be more receptive to giving a smaller group of cars a volume discount... :)

I'm psyched! It's cool to see the 'tuner' spirit alive and well with the SVX. ;)

I talked to Brett at AA and have the following to pass along:

1. two pulls with A/F now costs $135:(
2. they'll be open normal hours the second week in December (9am-6pm)
3. we just need to give them 2-3 days advance notice as to when we want to come in, and.....
4. 10 cars show up and we get the two pulls with A/F for only $60 a car!!:D

Okay, so we're 20% of the way to $60 now!

Winchester is on my way, but may be out of the way for you?

DC traffic may also be kinda heavy around rush hour, so maybe way can meet later on in the morning like 10am?

Nope. Must be a laid-back central VA term b/c we get a lot of it around here. This is still my first year with my company, and I have 3 weeks vacation that I have to take each year.

We actually get 3 weeks and 2 days, but you can carry over 2 days to the next year...

Around 10 should be okay - 11 is probably better as it will allow me to miss all the morning rush hour traffic on 495. I'll be coming round 495 then heading up 270 to get there. You'll probably be coming across on 70 and then down 270?

Cool. Not sure of my route yet, but I'll either be coming up I81 or Rte 15N through Leesburg...

Would you want to try and meet up in their parking lot at say 10:30am for an 11am appointment? I may be borrowing Mychailo's Mr. Dyno, so after doing our runs on the machine, we could probably do some testing on the street and see how close the results are...

I confirmed with them that all we have to do is call a couple of days ahead of time to lock up a time (yes, 11:30 still works). My plan is to call them next Monday (6th) and see if they're willing to lock in a time.

Well, I got official word from Tom (svxfiles) earlier this evening, SVXRide and I have an appointment at Altered Atmosphere on 12/15 at 11:30am! :cool:
