I'm relatively new here but I was just wondering when the Tri-State meet is happening out in Webster, MA. Or if it is happning, or if it was all just a dream...:p

AFBeefcake

Ya when is it. There should have been a signup by now.

In the past it has been at tri-state subaru on the second weekend in October.

Who sets up the tri-state meet? Is it tri-state subaru or was it red95SVX?

Subafreak
09-17-2004, 06:37 PM
Dave used to set it up but Tri-state took over and added the WRX's, but dropped the cruise to get ice cream.:( :)

Whats the word Dave whens it comming?

Hey! Long time no post! :)

The Tri- State meet will be held in October. The exact date is not set, but it will probably be on the 9th. I am meeting with some of Tri-State's people today to try to get a solid date and agenda. They have been very busy lately and they are short staffed.....so it's possible (but not likely) that they won't have a meet at all. As usuall I am pushing for a BBQ, a tech session with Senior Master Subaru Tech. Jerry Costa (who, if I remember correctly, holds EVERY available ASE certification), a few door prizes, AND back by popular demand, a scenic drive to Dresser Hill Farm.

My internet connection at home is not working...so I'll post more info the next time I have a chance to get online.

Perhaps if Tri-State dosen't come together, we can "organize" something in its place. But less swealtering heat and traffic this time.:D I hope it does, however. Would be nice to go to something that actually is organized, right Freak? hehe

I agree. Anyone have an idea on who to contact at Tri-State that might know the details? Dave might know, but I lost his number:D ... Maybe he'll thow us a post soon. If not, I'm all for getting something together...

Sorry for the delay....still no internet at home and work has been crazy busy.

Ok, bad news. Tri-State informed me today that the meet is off. They are just too busy and too under staffed to host it this time around. They apologize, and hope that things work out better for the spring meet.

One alternative that comes to my mind is to have the meet down the road from Tri-State at Webster Lake. Good scenery, plenty of room, and we could still have some sort of BBQ. Just a thought.

Dave :(

AFBeefcake

Webster Lake sounds fine to me.
What do other tri-staters think about that?

Whoru465
10-01-2004, 11:13 AM
Sounds good to me. I've got a friend that lives in Douglas (next town over from Webster) who knows the area very well. I'll talk to him and maybe I can come up with a cruise route. Like Dave said, nice area. What about everyone else?

Hey, have fun guys! I think I'm out on this one. I'd hate to go and ruin another perfectly good meet.;)

Seriously, though, the SVX is unregistered, and I don't plan on registering it again 'til it comes out of hibernation next spring. And I don't think the XT6 will make it down in it's current condition. If I get that Legacy Turbo I'm looking at, I may reconsider. Otherwise, try to have fun without me, okay.;)

Get off of rte 395 exit 2 in webster (rte 16). Head toward Webster (west), about 1/2 mile is a traffic light for rte 12. Take a left on rte 12 (south). About half mile down on left is entrance to Memorial Beach Park. I think that's the place we're talking about.

red95svx
10-14-2004, 07:18 AM
From the North, take 395 South into Webster. Take exit two. At the end of the ramp, take a right. Take a left at the first set of lights. The entrance to the beach will be on your left, about a mile down, just after the Police Station.

From the South (Suba), take 395 North to exit #1 in Webster. Take a left at the end of the exit ramp. Go straight through two sets of lights. The entrance to the beach will be on your right, just before the Police Station.

Ah, seems as though the wheels have been turning. Somehow I forgot to check this thread:eek: So it looks like there's 6 of us? I am working on a cruise route, a nice little jaunt in the country:D Anyone object? Other than that, Looks like we're in business.

Cool! Can we still cruise thru Tri-state just to show them how devoted the SVX guys are?

Mike, not to fast now if I bring the BRAT I will be stressin yo:eek:

If I bring the BAJA, watch out

So are we going with the Tailgate thing or do we want to just cruise to lunch somewhere.

Tailgatings cool and all but I can't cook and seems it's always windy at Tri-state I'm thinking there would be alot of paper plate and napkin chasing at the lake. But if someones got a grill and cooking knowlege I'll grab some dogs and plates.:D

Come on Dave I don't see your name officially on the list yet.

Ryan
10-18-2004, 09:40 PM
I'm good at eating if that counts for anything? Hotdogs n burgers are easy on a grille, I think a couple of Subaru owners could figure it out :)

Subafreak
10-19-2004, 04:54 AM
We just need an STI owner to show up so we can block off the hood scoup and sent him blasting down the highway and back. The TMIC should be just the right temp by then:D

Whoru465
10-19-2004, 09:23 AM
Nice, six...Possibly seven showing up. I have to agree with Le Freak. With the weather turning chilly our best bet might be grab some grub at a place nearby vs. napkin chasing. I have sketched out a cruise route through the scenic Blackstone Valley, with a possible photo op at....PURGATORY CHASM! MWahahaha. How fitting as we approach Halloween.;) So we can meet at the lake, scmooze, cruise, chow, etc...? Problems?

I actually found some really nice roads up in my area just off of 495 in Bolton today. I only found about two miles worth, but if I had taken a left at one of the stops it probably would have turned out another 5 miles or so.
