Hi guys n gal,
Sorry about that mix up, I logged on Saturday night to see what was happening, But forgot to log OFF!, so you probably thought I would get to see my private message! :(
Was actually working on my plane all day, as I usually only go on line late at night. :o
Great shots Jason, sorry I missed Paulie's car.
We really should drive the Putty one day!! :D

...I'm going to put a balancing pipe between the two exhaust pipes to get rid of that farty sound.

Also, I've been speaking to Michael from ECUtune about my ECU chip. It may be possible that the software on the chip isn't completely compatable with Australian SVXs, hence the code 45 for the check engine light I have. I am going to re-solder the resistor back into place on my ECU to see if the problem resolves itself. If it does, it's possible they aren't compatable. The error is an atmospheric pressure sensor or circuit, which is in the ECU.

This may be a long shot, but does someone else want to plug the ECU chip into their ECU to see if they get a check engine light? No obligation of cause, and it wont hurt your ECU, but hey, if we can resolve this problem, then we all may be able to get the chip.

It's weird 'cos the chip seems to help. Maybe the chip is supposed to do more but can't because of the ECU getting a false atmospheric pressure reading. Hmmm...

I will post again soon...

Paulie:(

Gday all

Sunday was heaps of fun, Arthur i'm glad your not mad at me for not calling you on Sunday as i thought i had your number but i didn't :)

We ended up being followed to Palm Beach by a couple in a merc who stopped with us when we parked and said their son would love an svx. We then drove to their sons work at laser zone to show him our cars and he gave us a free game- mate, my aim is shocking!

I miss Kienan, even though i didn't know him really well its like there is a gap in our crew

All is forgiven, I too only met Kienan twice, but the knowledge of such a sudden end to a whole life, just leaves you with a hollow feeling that's hard to shake. :(
It's a lot like those times you have a VERY near miss and drive away, but later that night, the memory comes back to haunt you.
On a happier note Heather, my wife, want's to go and visit her sister (partner of SKYLINE driving brother in-law) up in Maitland.
I'm not sure which Sunday she has in mind, but I feel a drive coming on. :D
Will keep you informed.
Arthur.

ps, Do the Merc parents know where to get a black SVX from?

OK, I've got a date now :D This Sunday!!
Heather feels I should keep my drive outings separate to visit outings, BUT....
The Sister lives in Thornton (between Maitland and Raymond Terrace) and I figure if I'm going to drive all that way, I may as well have some fun doing it ;)
I'm thinking of going via the Putty!!
We plan to be in Thornton for a late lunch, and stay for tea and miss the return traffic (sorry but I can't really invite people to stay once we're there)
Maybe those following could go on to Newcastle?
Who knows, maybe the brother in law may be interested in dusting off the GTS and we could go somewhere local for that lunch?
I figure we would have to meet somewhere in Winsor to set off around 10:00'ish :D
Any takers?
Arthur.

that is code for "Pacific Highway"?
No, I actually mean; The Putty Road, leading out of Windsor, up to Singleton (176klm), then back towards Newcastle (another 74klm) through Maitland.
Remember, the aim of the drive, is the drive itself!
The destination is almost irrelevant, but somewhere familiar is always good.
Afterwards, it is only a quick 172klm back via the expressway.
However, on reflection, I now suspect you are suggesting the OLD Pacific Highway!!!?
Hey, I'm game, ;) I've got a mate with a WRX that's always on about the Old Pacific.
The more the merrier!!
Talk to me.
Arthur.
