MY95 Green SVXs - Which Color do you have?

I have always been told that the MY95 Green SVX's were Emerald Green, even though marketing said Polo Green.

My SVX is Polo Green (color code 517) and the last four numbers of the VIN are 1173. I am curious to see when the changeover occurred for the different shades of green. I am thinking that it occurred later in the production year.

What color do you have? Emerald (434), or Polo (517)? Also, what number is your SVX (last three or four numbers in VIN)?

I have Emerald Pearl (434). My last for digits are 0081. Date of production is 6/94.

I changed the title. By the looks of it, it looked like I was asking Mike only. Oops! I meant to ask everyone with a Green SVX MY95. Hope more people post. I think it would be an interesting find. Anyone know how many SVXs were green in 95?

Hello Collin, me and my old man actually own two 1995 Green SVXs.
I always liked my Dad's darker Green better, and I've always wondered why would a company produce two different versions of the same color, at the same time...! At times I even thought my Dad's car had been re-painted previously, but that's not possible because it's perfect and matches under the hood/behind doors etc... so your thread pretty much answered my question and confirmed that Subaru indeed offered our cars with different shades of dark green.

I will come back here and post both color codes/last VIN#s later on today. :)

I think it's hard to find that out on this Forum... I don't think we have enough samples to make an accurate estimate. How about calling Subaru of America? I know they have that information, the main thing is to get on the phone with a nice customer support representative willing to help and do some research for you... just a thought.

Now, now. I have a 92 dark teal and I have never thought of my car as being green!

But just to add interest; Subaru also made 2 shades of teal, a light and a dark. I don't think they painted the SVX in the light but that was the colour of the touch up paint that came with the car.

I have seen a list of paint colours by model year on some one's web site, but can't remember who's it is.

No response as of yet. If I get time, I may call. From the looks of it so far, all cars mfgd in 94 are 434 and 95 are 517. We have a VERY small sample group though.
