Michelle just talked to the driver of a white SVX (come out and introduce yourself!!) and wanted me to remind people of the drive to Newcastle this Sunday

I will be in attendance with a video camera so that we can get some footage

More details to come

Hi

Don't forget to get photo's of the people on the median strip in their fold up chairs (and score cards!)

Newcastle seems to go off in the afternoon on Sunday so i reckon we meet at about lunchtime in Sydney- somewhere on Pacific Hwy- say the Mobil next to the other service station in Lindfield.

Then we could head up and get there at 3ish, BYO BBQ while admiring Newcastle’s finest vehicles (& our own). The BBQs are not far from the road so we will still have a top view of cars from the park/carpark vantage point. I need Kiernan & Paulies approval here (as u guys are locals)- think its better to do late meeting rather than earlier?
Ken, i'll take some chair pics for you

& to the guy i chased in svx last night- was so excited when i saw svx tail lights up ahead, car looks great, hope you can make it.

Yay Jason! sweeeeeeeeet time for some serious car detailing on Saturday...... we will cause more jaw dropping than any modified rexes. Do you have a cb Jason?

James,

Want2 come shotgun with me now that Blake isn't going & do you have a spare 2way/cb? We might be meeting Chris in Newcastle as he will be on his way back from hiking but he was glad for an excuse to get out of it (no idea why that could be).

I'll check out the yahoo site incase pearl went there.......

Not sure if i will be able to make it. I think there is a big dyno competition down here on sunday. I was goin to go to that. But id say i will do a couple of laps of the foreshore in the arvo.

Can't promise anything just yet, but I might be a starter for a run up to Newcastle on Sunday afternoon. May have to bring my little son with me though.

Where was the meeting spot going to be for the drive up? Perhaps around Berowra somewhere?

The red beast needs a run- and so do I.
Cheers, Mark.:D

I think afternoon is the best bet -

The weather forecast is bad for tommorrow but is meant to be clearing by Sunday. Want to meet at Mobil on Pacific Hwy Lindfield at 2pm Sunday? Mark, maybe we could meet you at Berowra on the way? Is Berowra a turn off once you are on the Freeway- my geography can be kind of bad sometimes :)
I'm sure your son will have fun- my bro enjoyed the last cruise.
Kiernan do you think you will be back in Newcastle at 5ish & Paulie are you still on? Jason, i'll call you tommorrow arvo- have to do sql course for work tommorrow (i had today off though & did way too much shopping which mainly involved car cleaning products.. & clothes). Oh yeah do you have a radio i could possibly borrow James? i could offer a trade- svx driver perhaps?

Bad news people, the weather is supposed to be wet and awful and worse still the GrandPrix is on in Melbourne on Sunday arvo. AAARGH. Sunday might be a bad day.

Thoughts anyone?
Cheers, Mark.:( :(

I'm confident the weather will clear!

Sunday
Cloudy with a few showers. S/SW winds.
Min: 19C Max: 25C

Monday is meant to be fine so therefore Sunday arvo should be too.......
i'm having trouble staying awake at this course.......

Looks like the rain is holding firm and as such I will stay put tomorrow. Sorry about that but the thought of a 2 y.o. holed up in the back for a couple of hours, with little to amuse him but the rain on the windows, doesn't excite me too much. I will try for another time. Good luck to the keen ones. Cheers, Mark.:( :(

ok i'll admit defeat!

Weather is truly crap and not suitable for cruise. My neighbour was eyeing me very suspiciously earlier when i was washing the car in the rain. Lets postpone it until 21st March if that date is suitable for everyone.......
& Mark- i agree, am not sure how much joy 2yo would have either (was imagining 6yo..) SVX appreciation might begin a little later in life. Is it awkward accessing baby seat in the back?

I tend to agree, the weather is/was less than desirable for a drive. All the hard work of a decent clean and polish sort of wasted. At least I got to see the last 4 laps of the GP! Here's hoping for better weather next time around. Cheers, Mark.  ;)
