View Full Version : Steering wheel tilt adjustment
Has anyone done anything so you could adjust the steering wheel's tilt to sit at different levels?

yes, use the tilt adjustment. ;)
you are probably using the lifter lever on the left side, which just pops the wheel up to make getting in and out of the car easier. the actual tilt adjuster is under the steering wheel, i believe. i can't remember - i haven't touched it for a while.

Alan in right - the tilt adjustment is under the steering column - you pull it straight back to make an adjustment

LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one!
I just bought mine, but I had it for a 3 day test drive, and it was on the 3rd day I found the SVX FAQ site and got this adjusted properly. :D I was all worried I was going to have to replace the column to drive this beautiful thing properly!
Lovin' this car!
I owned my car for a year and almost and I just found out recently how to use it!

am i the only one who reads the owners manual cover-to-cover when i buy a car? i would be hesitant to buy a car if it didn't have the owners manual!!! how well taken care of could it be if the freakin' owners manual is missing! if you don't have one, you should get one - call that Subaru 1-800 # and request one - they may even be free if i'm not mistaken.
anyone have the #/ know if they're free or not?
I found tha one that telescopes the steering wheel out...
I guess I will be sitting down with the owner's manual tonight for a nice read...

its coming back to me......its a flat (horizontal) lever under the steering wheel - push it toward the floor, adjust wheel. pull lever up to 'lock'.
