Power door locks (not!)

Hi there,

I have a 92 Ebony LSI that has few little issues. But I'll ask just one question for today...:p

The power door locks don't operate. I don't have the fancy remote key, I just want the passenger side to open and lock when I do the drivers side lock. Where should I start looking first in order to diagnose the problem?

after fuses, at least three suspects have to be eliminated:

1. the security module
2. the door lock timer
3. the door lock actuators

Has it ever worked? On my SVX, I found the problem to be one that requires replacing/repairing the driver's door lock motor actuator. Which can mean a previous owner got frustrated and disconnected the electrical hook-up to the locks.

I've spotted several SVX's here in Portland, much more common than back home.
