New SWen Virus via email

just received an "Update' email from Microsoft, killed it ... as my virus checker told me it contained a new worm virus, so its out and about again !!

Tonight seams to be the night for it, my ISP has notified me that three e-mails sent to me contained a virus. The ISP deleted them as soon as they hit the server.

Don't know what type they were just that they were attachments.

not a virus, but I just got a fraudulent e-mail from someone pretending to be Citibank, wanting to restore account info after a terrorist lock-down of accounts.

looks pretty good, but they failed in spoofing the sending e-mail address.

A couple people over on nasioc got this one from citibank

This letter was sentt by the Citi-bank servers to veerify your e-mail
adderss. You must copmtele this psoercs by clicking on the link
below and enteering in the smmall window your Citi-Bank Debit
full Card Nummber and Pin that you use on local ATM.
This is done for your ptoecrtion -G- becourse some of our memmbers no
lngeor have accses to their email addsesres and we must verify it.

To veerify your e-mail addres and akcess your bank account, clic on
the link beloow. If nothing hapepns when you klick on the link -A copy
and passte the link into the address bar of your web browser.

There's also one for AT&T WorldNet customers floating around claiming to be from the WorldNet billing department and asking for credit card numbers & expiration dates.

Here's another unrelated AT&T WorldNet issue: All voice support is moving to India. This means I'll be doing a different job soon.

Here's another interesting tidbit. All voice Microsoft tech is done from India.
