That would be really cool, but it's 3,000 miles away from the majority of us... How bout we just meet somewhere in the middle so neither of the regions of owners have to drive an extreme distance to make it to the meet...

The 15th Anniversary SVX Celebration will be held in Randy's back yard in Kentucky. He's going to show us how to change PS o-rings and properly grill & serve roadkill, especially possum. :D :D :D

If I go huniting with my M-16 and some rounds and a M203 grenade launcher would that be alright??? I'll bring back enough food for 70 people but I don't really have a fin time preping the killed animals... Anyone good at that??? I'll kill 'em, you Prep 'em, and Randy can cook 'em... Deal???

Chris,
Just how much would be left if you went at them with a M-16 and M203? :D
-Bill

GreenMarine
01-20-2004, 11:03 AM
Well the M203 is purely for fun... There would be none left if I hit a deer with a M203... I think I would use that to scare a deer into a trap by shooting that over them so it would explode behind them... Then they would probably run towards me so I could just take them down with my sidearm (trusty 9mm).... hehehe, M-16 isn't a big bullet just an extremly high velocity one... The fps of the M-16 is ( I believe ) 3,160fps... compare that to a pellet gun(450fps), the average .22 cal rifle (about 1,000-1,200fps)... there's not much our there that is faster than it...

Couple bottles of cheap red before you eat, possum should taste good after that. (Works a treat for Emu)

However, this time I'm going to recommend Indianapolis, not Lafayette for a gathering place. We can try again for the track lap of the Speedway, figure out what we can do at IRP for drag racing, work on an autocross with the local SCCA chapter, and maybe schedule a trip to Lafayette for a plant tour. Indy is reasonably central, easily accessible, and if has (if we don't schedule it for July or August) comfortable temps.

I can't help it - OT is addictive and you will not find anything, anywhere, ever that hasn't been posted already in nasioc OT.
I see stuff posted here as 'new' daily in general and our OT that I saw there a year ago.

GreenMarine
01-28-2004, 06:47 AM
I just can't keep up with OT on NASIOC... They move too fast... Those guys post like 30 times a minute!!! So after I post I go back to the Forum and I can't even find the thread that I just posted in because it's 15 threads down the list!!! I am always in "Southeast" or "Transmissions (5mt & 6MT)"....
