Since there is already lots of discussion about this meet, it might be helpful to figure out where the interest is. Once we have a list, Earl can probably determine what can and cannot be demonstrated and/or completed at this meet. We will also need to work fast on figuring this out, because if the meet is to be held between Thanksgiving and Christmas as was discussed, the various parts people may need will need to be ordered asap!

Please also post if you don't necessarily have anything specific to be fixed, but would just like to come to watch and enjoy the social aspect of the meet (and there will probably be food too! ;) ).

I could sure use help with:
1) O-Ring for power steering
2) Condensation in tail lights
3) De-sticking of sunroof
4) installing SS brake lines
5) replacing hoses

I'm sure I can think of more things I need help with, but I want to see what others come up with first.

As far as a date goes, I'm open almost any time.

I wouldn't mind help with the O-Ring for power steering either. I've had the O-Ring for years and the how to printed out, just to lazy to do it. :D If we are short on time I could just watch it get done to someone else's car and then do it myself at home.

I think CV joints/boots was brought up, that is something I would like help with, even if we can't fix them that day, at least have some informed eyes inspect them to see if they even need replacing.

I have some dash lights out, but this is something I would rather see done on someone else's car that needs it, as I plan to have the entire interior of the car taken apart at some point for several modifications all at once. So would like to just wait on the lights till then, take the car apart as few times as possible. ;) (plus I'll probably be replacing the lights in unorthodox ways)

Anyone else besides Harold and I interested in this?

I thought of another thing maybe, I've had my car 4 years and never flushed and filled the cooling system (previous owner had just had a new radiator put in). Is this something that should be done annually this time of year, or how often? Is it something we could do at the meet, or is this something that just as well be done at a Jiffy Lube or something?

I'll be there Troy! CV Joint for me and painting the wipers. I can't think of anything else right now but I know I have more. Oh, maybe changing the door speakers and the power steering O rings :D

Well, I could replace the bulb to illuminate the "spot/door" light buttons, and I never did tape my door panel or do anything about my stretched-out trunk release cord. Other than that, there's always messy fluid changes. :)

I'd sure like to learn how to change those fluids.

The only time I did it I screwed it up so bad........ that I haven't tried since....and that was....omg.....20 years ago.....

Ok, it looks like the main jobs that we could do so far is this.

1) PS O-ring change.
2) interior lights that are out
3) stretched out cable for trunk
4) inspect the CV joint boots (couldn't do that one in a meet like this.
5) change fluids
6) Coolant (maybe as well as the hoses) I will think on that one
7) Paint wiper arms
8) Paint center caps? anyone?
9) condensation in back lamps
10) desticking of sun roof.
11) brake lines can be an easy one some other day - but too much this first meet.
12) Dipstick O-ring

Any other ideas?

Ok, I will start a thread about the parts

I have some parts, but can get lights, O-rings, and some other stuff, but I need to know what you need to do. How many of what fix.

So - post your name and what you would like to do and if you need help with part numbers, let me know. I will have the easy ones that you can buy. O-rings etc.

I don't think I would need anything fixed (I hope! ). I should have my new axles in ( * )by the time this meet is going on, and I'd like to come and meet people, get food, and have a beer.

*MacGyver, if you need help installing new axles, with the right tools, I can do it in about 15-20 minutes per side. I have installed/de-installed some defective ones that I got about 6 times, so I have the procedure down pretty good:D OH, BTW, do NOT get your axles from www.rockauto.com;)

I thought of one thing I'd like to learn how to do....right. Changing the spark plug and anything else that goes along with this.

Doesn't have to be at this meet, or at any meet at all, but if someone can help me with this in the next 6 months that would be great. :)

Thanks
