Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase a pair of Koni Struts? Dayle at Motorspors Warehouse said that right now they are out and don't know when they'll get more.

If Dayle is out koni is out. You might try to see if one of these guys has a set they don't want to put in their car. But I doubt you will have much success there.

Is Dayle the only place to get a set?

I want them fairly bad. This is the only way I'm going to be able to lower the front of the car.

Dayle convinced Koni a year ago or so to run a limited number on a group buy/limited run basis. Unless Dayle (or someone else for that matter) can convince them to do another run (or, you can find a member here or on the yahoo club to give theirs up), the stock of Konis for the SVX is Kaput!

So far, it's the only performance strut I've ever heard of. Ground Control makes the springs. Dayle also sells those.

You'll need the ground control springs if you want to lower the car. The koni's--as far as I know--won't change ride height.

I have a set of Koni's that's never been mounted, sitting in the garage. I just don't know if i wanna get rid of them or wait till i can be without the car to get them put on. I suppose for the right price (i don't wanna take a loss--cuz I can get them put on for free) i'd let them go.

There is a company in Japan (I don't remember which) that has a suspension package. Dayle was trying to see if he could get them to send those and other things (i.e. front end pieces) to him, because they say that they can't export their parts outside of Japan

coilover system and it is expensive! the koni/gc setup is sweet and really enhances the handling and ride characteristics of the SVX. if you do the setup my suggestion is not to lower the car more than one inch. mine is two inches right now and i really dont have sufficient suspension travel. plus i had to take my car to an alignment specialist to adjust the wheel angle. the SVX only allows for minor alignment adjustment and no camber adjustment. if you only lower the car one inch everything will be sweet, as for me.....i am spoiled and will accept the occasional suspension chatter for the two inch lowered look. the car looks mean and lean. check out my pics and you will see what i mean.

And that right there is not cool. aparently before i got mine someone hit something and threw alignment way the F--- off. The only way to get it back straight is to have it frame pulled. Something I don't have money for, guess it's time to try to make friends in the frame pulling business.....

That is why I don't have my rims on this year because the alignment is off soo bad The tires on them have worn down to the belts, and only in two summers!!!

Wrong, you can adjust the camber and toe on the front, and toe only in the rear. Caster is non adjustable on any Subaru.

Well, except for Aredub's pass...(kick, kick...damn dead dog):D

ya its the rears that are off, I should try to find my printout from when I tried to get it aligned after putting the new wheels on the first time, the driver's side rear is WAAAAAYYYYYYYY out of the spec range something like 2 or 3 degrees too far

so do i have to have the Konis in order to lower my car, or just the Ground Control?

The Ground Control adjustable spring perch is what actually allows the car to be lowered. If you buy springs with roughly the same in/lb rating as the stock springs, the stock MacPherson dampers should be more than adequate to control occilation.

Personally I would not suggest this route due to the fact that the stock spring rate is (to me anyway) really too soft. With already short suspension travel up front, lowering any measureable amount with the stock rate will mean you'll encounter bump steer all too often if you get happy in the turns (even if you cut the bump stops down).
