What manual tranny would be the best match-up for the svx? And if this were compatible with the svx, how much do you guys figure it would cost to have the tranny upgraded, like how level 10 does, and install that tranny?

...in that order.

You'll be chucking about 5-7 grand before you're done (that's including labor)

From what I understand the '98 legacy 5-speed fits, but is not as stong as the 4EAT, not to mention that you'd have to reqork the ECU, and god knows what else.

I think 5-speeds are much more fun to drive.

But I don't know how well it'd work in the SVX
