soo on my way to a baseball game on monday we drove by a dodge dealer...and they had the new neon outside, and i am definatley impressed with the looks of it and if it performs as well as Rob insists, thats quite the snazzy little car. If i had money i'd get one.

yeah I saw a black on the other day they look pretty decent. I se nothing wrong with Rob for digging them, its just not the same as the original HI! car.

The coupe version actually has alright lines. The 4 door leaves a bit to be desired, but the coupe version has nice lines. Hey Uncamtski, you always say you'll ignore me, yet you never do. That was pretty much uncalled for, if you don't like reading neon threads then don't open it. I specifically labeled it Neon SRT4 for a reason so people who hate neons so much dont go into it. This is the off-topic forum if I'm not mistaken, so if you dont want to read it then dont. No one comments on any of your off topic posts/threads, so maybe you should think about that before you say something stupid.

Pete... not so much aimed at you... I'm just having a hard time with this whole neon thing... it's like going to a dog site and talking about cats... I don't care if it is off topic. If you all think that it's so important to talk about neon POS cars.. go there(www.neonpos.com) and be well received!! I think that I have had my share of off topic posts but correct me if I'm wrong... the name of this site is WWW.SUBARU-SVX.NET or did I miss something...?

I will never complain about someone else mentioning another type of car once in a while or even if the SVX isn't their favorite car ... but the constant promotion of that POS by a couple of people on this site is, in my opinion, an effort to troll. You guys know that you will draw fire from loyal svx and Subaru fans if you mention a POS like the neon (or the Yugo... same car, isn't it?) in the same breath as our SVX.

So I guess this is my response. Up until now I have joked about it like some of the others here... but from this point on (until someone shuts down the off topic forum) I'm going to be as vocal about banning over promotion of other cars on this site as you folk are in promoting an econobox with a hemi. I'm tired of the claims made by a 14 year old that his POS can blow away any SVX.. His claim to fame is that he got one up to 197 in a PC game on MAC...:rolleyes: Give me a break...!

Qualifier... YOU CAN MAKE A LITTLE RED WAGON BREAK THE WORLD LAND SPEED RECORD IF YOU PUT ENOUGH MONEY IN IT... BUT WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO.... IT'S STILL JUST A LITTLE RED WAGON...:mad:


and pete... it's still an UGLY(neon) car... It has all of the styling of an egg.. So I don't feel my remark was uncalled for. On the contrary.., I think it's time the SVX crew stood up for our car and the reason that this forum and site exists. So here's my stand... I will challenge (verbally) anyone promoting neon's or any other POS on the SVX sight... You won't change my mind about how great our car is. I admire the way it was designed and put together. No one has designed the perfect car yet... but this one, in my opinion, is damned close (for me)! That's why I'm here. I don’t mind hearing about how someone bought and restored a Camero, or even if someone modified a neon to be able to go 100 miles an hour. I just don’t think it should be a constant topic of conversation…

So expect my comments every time I see the word neon, yugo, or even Peugeot, more than 5 or 10 times from one person… (Unless they are putting a 3.3L boxer into it)

Now tomorrow when I’m feeling better after watching Chris race his svx in Boise… I’ll be back!!!
